Francisco Named ECAC DII All-Star

 
 

 
Senior Dely Francisco set four single-season records in 2008.

Garden City, N.Y. - Senior outfielder Dely Francisco (Haverstraw, N.Y.) was selected as a member of the 2008 Division II Softball All-Star as announced on Wednesday, June 18 by the Eastern College Athletic Conference.

Francisco completed her Adelphi career as the school's all-time stolen bases leader with 92. She also set new single season records in steals (51), hits (84), at-bats (216) and runs (51).

Earlier this season Francisco was named a Daktronics First-Team All-Northeast Region selection as well as a NFCA Second-Team All-Northeast Region pick. She was also named to the First-Team All-ECC and was an ESPN the Magazine/CoSida First-Team Academic All-District.

The ECAC recognizes the achievements of over 800 student-athletes annually with postseason all-stars in 10 sports. In softball, the ECAC honors an all-star team in Division I and Division II, and four regional all-star teams in Division III.
