Baltimore, MD - The #14 Adelphi University bowling team traveled to Baltimore, Maryland on February 16 and 17 to compete in the Morgan State Invitational. The Panthers finished the event fourth among NCAA Division II-III opponents and eighth overall in the field of 31. Adelphi posted a record of 3-6 at the tournament and are 53-59 on the season. Dianna Molenko finished the tournament with a 205.6 average and was named to the all-tournament team.

In day one action, Adelphi took on Elmhurst College in a close match, Elmhurst took home a 912-917 victory, despite strong efforts by Jennifer Ferraro (224) and Molenko (203). Match two saw Adelphi take on Vanderbilt as Dianna Molenko (258), Michelle Montgoris (227), and Danielle Locurto (197) rolled strong games, but Vanderbilt picked up the win, 983-1026.

The Panthers rolled their best game of the day in the third match as Heather McGee (248), Valerie Passaniti (216), Montgoris (223), Molenko (214), and Locurto combined for a 1088-893 victory over #8 Arkansas State University. In the fourth match Adelphi took on Florida A&M, falling 906-926.

The final match of day one was against Wisconsin-Whitewater and saw UWW pull out a 903-1068 win. Cristina Reale (188) and Kristin Hayes (199) both posted solid games in the loss. The Panthers were a disappointing 1-4 on the day but on the strength of their 4792 pin fall were fourth in the field of 13 NCAA Division II-III opponents.

Day two action began against #1 Nebraska as the Panthers, led by McGee, Passaniti, Hayes, Montgoris, and Molenko rallied back from a 51 pin deficit and fired a fourth game 256. However, the Panthers could not pull out the win, falling 801-809. Norfolk State got the better of Adelphi in game two, 655-783. But, game three saw the Panthers bounce back, topping #17 St. Peter's 780-701. Adelphi finished the day 2-2 thanks to a 773-649 win over #16 Fayetteville State.

Adelphi returns to action on March 7 when they participate in the ECAC Championship.
