Garden City, N.Y. - Seniors Tal Sheinfeld (Even Yehoda, Israel) and Josephine Coiro (West Babylon, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of The Week for the week of November 16, 2004.

Sheinfeld ended his Adelphi soccer career on a high-note by helping the Panthers to close out their season with a 6-1 win over Philadelphia. Sheinfeld scored three goals and two assists in Adelphi's 6-1 conference win.

The Panthers finished the regular season with a record of 6-9-1 overall and 1-3-1 in the Atlantic Soccer Conference.

Coiro helped the #8 Panthers capture their third consecutive NCAA Northeast Region title last week. Coiro scored both Adelphi goals in the Panthers 2-0 first round victory over Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Then in the regional final Coiro chipped in Adelphi's first goal and assisted on the Panthers second to help Adelphi to a 5-1 win over LIU-Southampton.

The Panthers will face-off against #4 Franklin Pierce in the NCAA Quarter Finals for the third straight season. Kick-off is set for 12:30 on Saturday November 20th at Stiles Field.
