Garden City, N.Y. - Junior Jaime Julia-Perez (Amsterdam, N.Y.) and sophomore Mary Lepore (Manhasset, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's Athletes of The Week for the week of February 14, 2006.

Julia-Perez had a strong showing on the first day of the Collegiate Track Conference championships. In the 5000 meter run, Julia Perez placed third overall in a clocking of 15:45.03, finishing less than four seconds our of second place.

The Panthers will return to action on Friday, March 10 when they travel to Orlando, Florida to compete in the Disney Relays.

Lepore averaged 15 points and seven rebounds in three Panther losses last week. She had her best game in a loss at Bridgeport, filling the box score with 20 points, five rebounds, five assists and five steals.

The Panthers return to action on Tuesday, February 14 when they host Dowling College at 5:30 pm in Woodruff hall.
