Garden City, N.Y. - Senior Luciana Pace (Bellemore, N.Y.) and senior golfer Kevin Loftus (Rocky Point, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's athletes of the Week for the week of October 28, 2003.

Pace collected an assist in Adelphi's 2-0 victory over NYIT and scored two goals in the Panthers 3-0 win at Queens. Pace is currently second on the team in points with 24 points (10G, 4A), she also ranks fifth all-time with 32 career goals.

For her efforts Pace was also named this weeks NYCAC Player of the Week. Adelphi is currently 13-1-1 and ranked #5 in the Nation by the NSCAA.

Loftus led the Panthers last week with a 13th place finish at the St. Thomas Aquinas Invite. It was the third time this season that Loftus was either the lowest Adelphi finisher or tied for that honor. At the St. Thomas Aquinas Invite Loftus shot a 166 to help the Panthers finish fifth overall.

The Adelphi women's soccer team returns to action October 29th, when they travel to West Chester for a 2:30 pm kick-off. The St. Thomas Aquinas Invite was the last tournament of the fall season for the Adelphi golf team, their best finish was at the ECAC Championships where the Panthers took fourth place overall.
