Garden City, N.Y. - Sophomore Carylshia Hurdle (Brentwood, N.Y.) and freshman Kimani Blaize (Brooklyn, N.Y.) have been named Adelphi's athletes of the week for the week of December 2, 2003.

Hurdle posted her third double-double in four games in a 91-78 loss to Molloy on November 25th. Hurdle paced Adelphi with 13 rebounds to go along with 10 points and three blocks in the loss. Adelphi dropped to 1-3 on the season and 0-1 in conference play with the loss.

Blaize tied a career-best 14 points, including 4-of-8 from three point range, in Adelphi's 67-66 win over Molloy. He hit two free throws with 1:13 left to give the Panthers the lead and the win. For his efforts Blaize was named the NYCAC Rookie of the Week. With the win Adelphi improved to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in conference play.

The Panthers return to action Thursday, December 4, 2004 when they travel to Mercy College. The women tip-off at 6 pm and the men are set to start at 7:30 pm.
